Programme first. We lost two and a half days to rain last week — the site was a bog Monday and Tuesday.

Level two framing's back on track though. If it stays dry we're done Wednesday.

Long-range has a southerly front coming through Thursday afternoon, rain into Friday.

Then I want the roofing crew pulled forward. Can we have them start Wednesday instead of Friday?

Purlins are done and the underlay's on site, so yeah — Wednesday works if the framing inspection's out of the way.

I'll ring Southern Roofing this morning and swap the slots. Truck movements will need the crossing kept clear.

From the owners' side — are we still tracking lock-up for the tenth of July?

Honestly, no. With the rain days we're about three behind. Lock-up moves to the fifteenth of July, and we claw the three days back in the lining stage.

Fine. Put the revised date in writing though — it goes in my board report on Thursday.

Good. H&S next. Friday's walk turned up three things.

Two scaffold tags on the west elevation were out of date, kickboards were missing on the level-two north edge, and the ladder gate was tied open. Again.

Kickboards went back on Friday afternoon. The tied gate was the painters — I've had a word.

Scaffold company re-inspected yesterday morning. Tags are current now, but it shouldn't take our walk to catch it.

For the record, all three are logged in the register and closed, except the gate — that one stays open a week so we can check the habit's actually changed.

While we're on it — the trench along the east boundary. The barrier keeps walking during the day. It wants putting back every night, not just when someone remembers.

Agreed. Dylan, that's yours — end-of-day check, barrier and lids back on the trench.

Yep, on the list.

Before we leave safety — the west stair exit. I walked it yesterday afternoon and the clear width at the bottom is down to about eight-fifty with that scaffold standard where it is now.

The consent drawings call up a full metre clear at the west stair exit discharge. Right now you couldn't get a stretcher through there.

You're right — that standard moved inboard when they re-tied the bay for the drainage trench.

That's the bay they shifted three weeks back —

— exactly, and it never went back out. It's been sitting in the egress path since.

I want the west stair exit back to a metre clear and the route re-marked before Friday. If the certifier walks the site it's an instant fail, and it's a genuine safety issue besides.

Fair call. Scaffold company are on site Wednesday for the re-tie — I'll have them shift that standard out of the exit path, and we'll repaint the egress marking Friday morning.

Right — inspections. Where are we with the council pre-line?

Booked. The pre-line inspection is Tuesday the thirtieth of June, ten o'clock. Council confirmed yesterday.

Plumbing rough-in will be finished Wednesday the twenty-fourth. Pressure test Thursday the twenty-fifth — I'll leave the gauge on overnight so you've got the reading for the inspector.

Sparkies reckon their rough-in's done Friday the twenty-sixth, so everything's closed off with two clear working days before the pre-line.

Insulation's booked to start the day after the pre-line passes, and the GIB delivery lands Thursday the second of July.

What happens if the pre-line fails on something?

We get the punch list same day and re-book. Council's running about a week's turnaround, which is why we want the buffer.

One thing — I need the bath on site before the pre-line, not after. If it goes in post-lining someone's cutting GIB.

It's in the yard already. Dylan can bring it up with Thursday's delivery.

Sweet, consider it done.

Last one from me. The owners have asked for sound-rated GIB in the media room, and on the wall between the master bedroom and the hall.

Noise-rated thirteen-mil both faces, plus acoustic insulation in the cavity? That's the usual spec.

That's the one. What's it going to cost them?

Rough order, three thousand two hundred plus GST — the board, the extra hang time, and the insulation. I'll firm it up as a variation.

We'll raise it as VO-14. Priced and with you by Monday the twenty-second, Dave.

If it's under five grand I can approve it inside forty-eight hours, so that keeps it clear of the GIB order.

That's the plan — decision before the board order goes in on the twenty-fifth.
